Behold the black male plight: Neak observes and reports on “B.M.P.”
Chicago dual-threat, Neak drops 3-minutes of reporter-style lyrics in his latest track, “B.M.P.” The artist and producer describe the black male plight that runs rampant in America—calling out poor behavior that stems from sexism, capitalism and America’s systemic racism.
By “calling out,” I don’t mean that Neak throws on his “Woke Bae” hats and tells every black man how they should do better. Imagine him standing in the middle of all this dysfunctional activity – possibly even participating in some of it – and simply identifying all the issues by name. No judgment. Isn’t that what a reporter does?
Listen to “B.M.P.” Has Neak captured the black male plight accurately? Did he leave something out? Let us know in the comments.
